In my spare time (of which there is very little!) I think about what we can do to put all of the plastic our world produces to good use. Obviously there are better uses for it than expanding the Great Pacific Garbage Patch or poisoning all life on Earth with microplastics.
Today I came across this article. An LA startup, Azure, is going to be turning used plastic bottles, millions of them, into the structures for prefab tiny houses. They will 3D print the parts at their factory and then construct the buildings on site.
Ideas like this seem like one great way to address our supply chain crisis and our plastic problem all at once. What they build isn’t too hard on yer damn eyes, either.
